02 Jun Under the Duomo: My City of Angels
Bologna is a fascinating place with tons of history and buildings dating back to medieval times and the food, well the food is some of the best food in Italy. Bologna is an amazing city with beauty all around you everywhere you look, however it still has yet to captivate me the way Florence has. In Florence you don’t have to observe the city to take in its beauty, you can just feel it all around you. The city is more alive, I realize it’s Sunday and not many people are out and about, but even in Florence there were still a decent amount of people around last Sunday. I feel as if I have spiritual connection to Florence; as if Florence to me is how Los Angeles is to Anthony Kiedis(singer and songwriter for the Red Hot Chili Peppers). My feelings towards the city made it impossible for me to find a souvenir to buy there because no medallion or trinket could capture the beauty I found or the love I share for Florence.
