29 May Blog Post #5 Bologna
When we initially got to Bologna, I was honestly not that excited to be there. It reminded me of Pittsburg with the large buildings and the trash. I have personally never been to Pittsburg, but, I heard someone describe it like this once.
After we got to the hotel, I was so excited to see our room. I felt really secure having to get into our room by a gate and then having to use the special key to enter the living area. The bathroom was amazing! The shower was a normal, human sized bathroom and there was even a tub. I didn’t use it, but it was a great feature. Taylor, Danielle, Maisi and I went to get dinner and we had some really good pasta and fish and chips. I know, I know. Shouldn’t we want Italian food instead of American or British food? NO! I miss American food.
Anyway, then we went to try and shop a little and Danielle got this really cute shaw thing. The stores were starting to close so we gave up on shopping and went back to the hotel to do some homework. The next day, the professors took us to Bologna University where we went to the library and saw the massive collection of old books on every subject and shields carved into the walls. One for each teacher that has ever worked at the university. I kept saying that I wanted one for myself! Then of course we were all starving again because we eat every five minutes. So, the four of us went in search of a place to eat. We ended up at this cute little place and all got the same food. It was amazing and afterwards we were all so full that we went back to the hotel and passed out. It was a good time. Bye Bologna!
